Improv (COMEDY, usually)
Improvising Onstage
I got my start with the incomparable Clay Crows at Pacific Lutheran University, who are responsible for my improv education, and many scars both physical and mental.

Improvising Offstage (Tech-prov)
Not to brag, but I'm a pretty good tech improviser. Granted, there's not a lot of competition (tech for improv is a neglected art), but still, I'm amazing.
Sound design for improv has as much in common with sound for video games as it does with sound for theatre. You have to anticipate every possible scenario, so that when the time is right, you have exactly the right sound already at your fingertips. It's difficult, but very rewarding when you do.
I'm a regular in the booth at CSz Seattle, I was the primary tech-proviser for Split Second (RIP), and I've also done tech at Jet City Improv, where I've worked on their flagship short-form show, as well as several long-forms, including:

Directing Improv
Sound & Fury: An Improvised Shakespeareance at CSz Seattle is a completely original show improvised in the style of Shakespeare. It's as difficult (and as fun) as it sounds. I served as technical improvisor for the first run in 2020, and also as director for our second run in 2022.
This Space Intentionally Left Blank returned to the stage in August 2017 at the Pocket Theatre. It was basically the same idea as the previous iteration of TSILB (cast first, then come up with the show), but this time with improv instead of scripts!
Yes And Dystopia (an improvised YA Dystopia), mostly featuring the cast of What If? We only had one performance, but it was a fun one.
